Salary:
Chair - a competitive salary package is available for outstanding
candidates.
Reader/Senior Lecturer - £38,685 to 43,850 per annum.
Lecturer - £28,829 to £36,959 per annum.
The School seeks a candidate with a growing or established
international reputation in the general field of Geophysical Earth
Observation, to include remotely-sensed and field-based techniques in active
crustal and surface processes, laboratory measurements and modelling. The
School has active research interests in many cognate areas of physical
Geosciences, including volcanology, seismology, applied geophysics,
hydrology and process sedimentology. The successful applicant will be
expected to undertake research of international quality and, where
appropriate, nurture interdisciplinary research leadership within the
Geosciences area. He or she will also teach on the School's undergraduate
and postgraduate courses, and promulgate teaching initiatives of an
interdisciplinary and innovative nature.
