Hi all I am using Monte Jade gateway plateform which has 2 NPE ports. NPEB(npe_eth0) is connected to 4 ports intregrated ethernet switch (4x10/100 LAN) and NPEC(npe_eth1) is connected to simple Ethernet Rx/Tx.(WAN) http://www.jungo.com/openrg/doc/4.1/installation_guide/html/html_ixp425/node5.html This board contains a FWIXP420BB network processor. I am able to install and configure this board.I am using ReBoot as Boot Loader and running SnapGear-2.4 on this board. I use minicom for serial communication with the Board and 1 port (npe_eth1,WAN) is directly connected to my Box via cross Cable. The configuration detail is explained here http://amitesh.info/tmp/VLANconfig.txt Switch port 1 is connected to a Box (192.168.1.2/24,baddr:192.168.1.255,gw:192.168.1.1) When i ping 192.168.1.1 from 192.168.1.2 ,i get following packets at the eth0 interface. 01:57:41.992247 0:60:72:d:f5:4c Broadcast 8100 64: 0012 0806 0001 0800 0604 0001 0060 720d f54c c0a8 0102 0000 0000 0000 c0a8 0101 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0:60:72:d:f5:4c is the MAc address of 192.168.1.2. Same packet broad casts when i try to ping 2.2.2.1 . Eth0 is getting the ARP request but not sending the unicast ARP reply.why this is happening ? Am i doing some thing wrong ?
