Hi,

I have a Linux (Debian) that has a native support for configure vlan on
interfaces file.

So I've configured vlan and the interface is up as shown bellow.

vlan2 Encapsulamento do Link: Ethernet Endere?o de HW
00:11:D8:AA:94:D9
           inet end.: 135.153.2.1 Bcast:135.153.255.255
Masc:255.255.255.0
          UP BROADCASTRUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 M?trica:1
          RX packets:183 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          colis?es:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:22470 (21.9 KiB) TX bytes:1384 (1.3 KiB)

I can get IP from my dhcp server trought the switch tagged port that
the server is attached to, but I'm unable to ping the server's
interface... (The host is plugged in another untagged port)

I've read that some NICs doesn't work with 802.1q frames... I don't
know that's the problem... but in case it's the problem I could not get
the ip from dhcp server.... right!?

I'm using the uggly rtl8139 to test..
Any ideia about what the problem,..?

Regards

Fabiano
