[VLAN] Q-in-Q

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi All,
Q-in-Q is a service provider feature and is not supposed to be used by
end-users.

Q-in-Q is a solution for metro Ethernet providers to use their own
VLANs while respecting customer VLANs. The main support has to come
from switches deployed by service providers.

I believe that end-hosts should not have this capability and only
service provider routers should have this features.

Ofcourse, this does not mean that people should not use the capability
once it is there.
