Hi Kannan, Bridges are nothing but a logical entity which joins broadcast domains. Here, if you add network interfaces to bridge, the result is, all those networks joins to become a single network - a single LAN. The linux VLAN package allows you to create virtual LAN interfaces, so that the same machine can participate in different virtual LANs. So the first step is to crate virtual LANs. For this, you need a virtual LAN capable switch/bridge. So many switchtes -e.g., CISCO Catalyst series, switches offer this fascility. (Please do not confuse this with a bridge configured in a linux box.
