Virt-Manager, diskformat on LVM

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,
when i use virt-manager and do the storgae pool in LVM,
i cant choose disk type (qcow2, raw, etc...) when creating a new vm.

htop shows me then it uses "raw".

is this a restriction by virt-manager? is it best choose to use "raw" on lvm?
in many qemu-kvm books i read best way will be to use qcow2.

first i thought this done by template "debian wheezy" but i get raw disk even when i chose "kernel 2.6.5 or higher with virtio"

any comments are welcome.
