are you using vdr-xine plugin 093 or vdr-xineliboutput ? which version ?
First I used vd-xine-0.9.3. Then I tried vdr-xineliboutput based on this wiki:
http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_VDR_DVB-S2_mittels_Xine_und_VDPAU_-_VDR_Plugins

what about another FTA channels from 9E - are they working fine ?
All the FTA channels are working fine from 9E and 13E. In Hello HD package there is only one FTA channel, and it's a radio channel... and it's working fine.

you can try to scan with patched for s2api reelchannelscan vdr plugin - see my announce in this ML
I will try this evening.

to upgrade.

it was your fault
Offtopic: I totally agree! I lived about 3 years with OpenSuse 10.0 without any upgrade, without any problem.

All working.
