Any USA users out there?

This is what I heard.  No DVB - 8-VSB on terrestrial and DAVIC (not DOCSIS) 
on cable.

Looks like the only DVB I'm going to be able to do is DVB-S.  I can't even 
do DirecTV which uses DSS and (US) NDS.

I think it's going to be very hard to get much going with DVB and VDR in the 
USA!!
