If you have a full-featured card, you can connect a optical out to the
pin 4 and pin 10 of the J2-Connector.

You can easily homebrew a optical SP/DIF-Out like decscribed in this
scheme:

If you're not familiar with a soldering-iron, you may also use a
slot-bracket with SP/DIF from Asus. Maybe you can get one on ebay.

Recent VDR-version work out of the box with these outputs, older ones
require the AC3overDVB-patch.
