Is it possible to make a 4+1 harddisk system silent enough? (Re: BBC To Open Source This Project)

The obvious alternative would be to put that big server into a closet
(in the basement if possible...) and use a silent barebone for
display. (Or use that system which distributes video signals over Cat5
cables.)
