I updated yesterday and have no problems!

But i did not update the DVB drivers! (Forgot it, too it realatively
complicate as i use a AverMedia DVB-T card too)

Here it's a 2.4.29  and the DVB drivers linuxtv-dvb-1.1.1 
and DVB-S FF (TT) and DVB-T (avermedia)

Try "vanilla" VDR first.
