Normal USB sticks are often (although not always) unpartitioned, and the one thing the machine that is connected to the embroidery machine does is to take data on USB sticks - to be transferred to the embroidery machine. So I'll look at hacking blkid to not be silly for small media. If it finds a partition table, it shouldn't do anything else.
