I should clarify this for the record, since someone reading could get
the impression I did it all myself, and I don't want to steal credit.
Like any open source project, I have had a lot of help from various
users, in designing, coding, and testing.  There is a small core of
time enthusiasts (one of the nicer descriptions of a person who gets
bothered by his clock being a quarter second off) that appreciate this
version.  Also, for the past 3 years, about half the work has been done
by Alain Guibert.
