Road and trail closures may happen during heavy rain
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., October 1, 2018, For Immediate Release
— With heavy rains expected from Tropical Storm Rosa, the Coconino National Forest may temporarily close roads, trails, or recreation sites
in order to provide for public safety. These localized emergency closures are due to the possible flooding associated with the coming weather.
Roads and trails will reopen once conditions warrant. As always, please use caution while driving on Forest Roads and remember that driving on muddy roads can cause
road damage and soil erosion. For more information on specific closures call the local ranger districts listed below.
