C.C. Cragin Reservoir closed until further notice
CLINT’S WELL, Ariz., April 5, 2018, For Immediate Release —
C.C. Cragin (aka Blue Ridge) Reservoir is currently only 22 percent full and is closed to motor vehicle access for public safety due to low water levels, underwater hazards and dangerous boat ramp conditions. Forest Road 751, which leads down to the reservoir, will be closed at Rock Crossing campground until water levels rise
and hazardous conditions are mitigated. It is possible that the reservoir could be closed for the season due to the low water levels and lack of replenishment. People may visit the reservoir by foot by walking down Forest Road 751 to Rock Crossing Trailhead (approximately 1
mile), which is the trail that leads down to the reservoir. However, no vehicles will be allowed on Forest Road 751 beyond Rock Crossing campground.
For more information about the reservoir status and Mogollon Rim Ranger District, please contact the ranger station at 928-477-2255. Information about C.C. Cragin Reservoir water
levels can be found on SRP’s website at
