Three Lakes shelter picnic celebration Petersburg, Alaska, July 7, 2016– The Petersburg Ranger District invites the public to the historic Three Lakes Shelter for a picnic celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the National Historic Preservation
Act. We are offering guided interpretive hikes from the shelter for kids and adults on Friday, July 15 from noon to 3 p.m. Grilled hot dogs will be provided but please bring your own drinks. Everyone is welcome and the event will take place rain or shine!
Three Lakes Shelter is located at Shelter Lake, between Sand and Hill Lakes along the Three Lakes Loop Trail. For more information and for directions to the shelter call the Petersburg Ranger District 907-772-3871.
The three-sided Adirondack-style shelter is located on the Three Lakes Trail system.
