West section of C.C. Cragin Reservoir reopens

Clints Well, Ariz., June 14, 2016, For Immediate Release — Motor vehicle access to C.C. Cragin (aka Blue Ridge) Reservoir is no longer restricted, and access to the reservoir via Forest Road 751 is now open.

The reservoir’s boat ramp is also currently open.  However, the east section of the reservoir is closed to boating activity and buoys have been placed in the reservoir to show the closure area. The public may still load and unload their kayaks and canoes at the boat ramp, but can only use the western section of the reservoir.

Forest Road 751—the main forest road that leads to the reservoir—was previously closed to vehicles at Rock Crossing Campground for public safety as firefighting equipment and personnel used the road over the last week to battle a wildfire caused by an abandoned campfire.
