Prescribed burn today near Flagstaff to produce noticeable smoke

Flagstaff, Ariz., Apr. 15, 2015, For Immediate Release — Fire managers will conduct a prescribed burn today near the intersection of Lake Mary Road and Frontier Road just east of Pulliam Airport.

            The Mountainaire Project will begin at approximately 9 a.m. today and encompass 662 acres, which will produce a sizeable column of smoke that is highly visible by those in the Flagstaff area.

Smoke is expected to disperse to the southeast and will likely impact Lake Mary Meadows, Kachina Village and Mountainaire.
