Forest Roads on Coconino NF beginning to open after seasonal closure
Flagstaff, Ariz., Mar. 26, 2015, For Immediate Release — Forest Roads above
the rim on the Coconino National Forest are beginning to open as warmer weather approaches and roads are becoming suitable for motorized travel. Though some roads are opening, there are many that are still closed due to wet and muddy conditions that can be the cause
of people getting stuck and also cause damage to the roads.
Forest roads opening in the Flagstaff Ranger District:

Off of US-180 north of Flagstaff include Forest Roads 164C, 191, 191C, 193, 222, 222B, 245, 247, 760 and 794.
·
Off of I-17 just south of Flagstaff include Forest Road 631 (Kelly Canyon exit west).
·
Off of I-40 include Forest Roads 128, 145, 171, 171C, 222, 222A, 506, 518, 519 and 812.
·
Off of the Lake Mary Road corridor include Forest Roads 82, 125 (Kinnikinnik Lake access) and 128 (Marshall Lake Road).
Forest roads opening in the Mogollon Rim Ranger District:

Off of Highway 87 include Forest Roads 82 (Long Lake), 142 (West Clear Creek), 144 (Hicks and Duncan Canyon), 149, 211, 213 (Stoneman Lake), 616
(Pivot Rock).
Be aware that there is currently no access to Knoll Lake on the Mogollon Rim, but the Mogollon Rim Ranger District plans to open
all of its Forest Roads on April 3.
