Roads temporary closed for bridge installation update THORNE BAY, Alaska–The U.S. Forest Service is installing bridges on the Thorne Bay Ranger District. Forest Service Road 3018 will temporary be closed
at mile marker .64 from July 28, 2014 to Aug. 1, 2014. Forest Service Road 30 will temporary be closed at mile marker 34.47 from Aug. 11, 2014 to Aug. 15, 2014.
This closure will affect traffic between Coffman Cove and Thorne Bay. Roads may be reopened sooner than the dates shown. The bridge installations are part of the Prince of Wales fish passage project. The new bridges improve access for fish to travel to upstream to spawning
and rearing areas.
