Hearst Fire Starts Northwest of Williams, AZ
WILLIAMS, AZ – On May 5th, 2014, a fire was reported approximately three miles northwest of Williams, AZ near Hearst Mountain. Currently one acre in size, the fire has multiple
resources responding from the Kaibab National Forest and Williams Fire Department including three engines, a water tender, and a dozer.
Fire crews are currently working to suppress the fire with engine crews and dozer line at this time. The fire is exhibiting minimal fire behavior as it creeps through pinyon-juniper woodland
areas with pine litter. There are no structures or other resources threatened at this time. Date/Time Reported: Monday May 5th, 2014 Location: 3 miles northwest of Williams
