The Flagstaff Fire Department’s Wildland Fire Management Division plans to conduct a 115 acre prescribed broadcast burn tomorrow located 12 miles west of Flagstaff at the Camp Navajo Army Depot south of Bellemont.  Smoke from this burn is expected to disperse in a southerly direction and will likely be visible from the Bellemont area and portions of west Flagstaff.

The 121 City Well Field prescribed fire (3 miles SW of Flagstaff) was postponed this week due to unfavorable conditions and is currently planned for implementation early next week.

All prescribed fire activities are dependent upon available resources, favorable weather conditions and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.

Please call the Flagstaff Fire Department at (928) 213-2500 with any questions.

Additional prescribed fire information can be obtained from the USFS Prescribed Fire Hotline at (928) 226-4607.
