National Weather Service Issues Red Flag Warning
WILLIAMS, Ariz. – The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning for northern Arizona Thursday, April 5. This warning covers the Williams and Tusayan Districts on the Kaibab National Forest and remains in effect until 8:00 p.m. Forest visitors are advised to refrain from having a campfire when Red Flag warnings exist. Red Flag warnings are generated when strong wind and low relative humidity is predicted causing an increased potential for large fire growth. This advisory covers all campfires and will stay in effect until the Red Flag warning ends. For recorded fire information updates, please call 928-635-8311.
