Increased Smoke Expected on Beale Fire

WILLIAMS, Ariz. – Managers report there will be more smoke from the Beale Fire over the next few days due to operations on and around Government Mountain. Dense conditions on the mountain will produce a large amount of smoke.  Aerial ignitions are scheduled to begin today and may continue for several days weather permitting. Smoke is expected to settle in and around the fire area overnight, nine miles north of Parks.
Information is posted on several boards around the fire area and will be updated regularly. For more information, please contact Punky Moore, Fire Information Officer, 928-635-5653.
