SOUTHWESTERN-NEWS-RELEASE: Coconino National Forest Smoke Information

This information from Flagstaff Fire Department about prescribed fire activity is being provided as a courtesy to subscribers of the US Forest Service email list.

The Flagstaff Fire Department's Wildland Fire Management Crew will be conducting a 10 acre prescribed pile burn on Thursday February 24th in the area of Forest Dale and this past summer’s Hardy Fire (T 21 N R 7 E, Sec. 26).  Tomorrow’s operations are part of a project implemented to reduce wildfire risk and help restore ecosystem health.  Smoke may be visible in during ignitions but is expected to disperse and be light overnight
