This information about prescribed fire activity today is provided on behalf of the Flagstaff Fire Department.

The Flagstaff Fire Department’s Wildland Fire Mgmt Crew plans to conduct an 8 acre prescribed pile burn today, Tuesday Dec 21st.  Piles will be burned within the Rio De Flag drainage south of Interstate 40  (T21N, R7E, Sec.23 S. 1/2).   These piles are small hand piles which will be closely monitored to ensure good consumption and reduced smoke impact.  Today's ventilation is expected to be good with southwest winds helping disperse the smoke northeast.

If there are any questions regarding today's ignitions please contact the Flagstaff Fire Department Fuel Management at 928-853-2735.
