No Growth on Juniper Fire

WILLIAMS, Ariz. – The Juniper Fire did not grow today; it is approximately 415 acres. The lightning-caused fire is being managed for resource objectives 18 miles northeast of Williams.

Light rain fell on the fire today in addition to heavy precipitation received Tuesday. Fire activity consisted of smoldering large logs and stumps. There were no smoke impacts to the local area. Approximately 12 personnel are assigned to the incident, monitoring and patrolling the fire perimeter.

Managers expect minimal growth as long as the current weather system exists. While fire activity has slowed, smoke may be visible occasionally north of Spring Valley.
