Tentative prescribed fire plans for Tuesday
Flagstaff, AZ – Pending favorable conditions, fire managers are planning prescribed fires on the following projects for Tuesday, November 17.
All prescribed fire activity is dependent on personnel availability, weather – including ventilation conditions, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (www.azdeq.gov).
Mint Project – 600 acres located approximately 5 miles southeast of Mormon Lake Village. Smoke will disperse to the northeast and will be visible south of Flagstaff and from Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road). Some light residual smoke may settle in the Mormon Lake area overnight.
Bald Mesa Project – 450 acres located approximately 5 miles north of Clint’s Well, east of FH3. Smoke should disperse to the north and will be noticeable from FH3 and Highway 87.
