Tentative Prescribed Fire plans for the week of Sept 14
Flagstaff, AZ – Fire managers are planning several possible prescribed burns for next week. As always, all prescribed fire activity is dependent on personnel availability, weather – including ventilation conditions, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).
Pending favorable conditions, fire managers are planning prescribed fires in the following projects for the week of Sept 14: No burning is planned for Monday.
Fort Valley Project – Located north of Flagstaff, off Hwy 180. Approximately 200 acres of broadcast burning.
Kachina Project – Located southwest of Flagstaff and Kachina Village. Up to 400 acres of broadcast burning.
East Clear Creek Project – Located between Knoll Lake and Forest Road 300 (Rim Road). Approximately 1000 acres of broadcast burning.
