===============================================================
Coconino National Forest Planned Prescribed Fire Activity for Wednesday May 13, and Thursday May 15.
Remember that all prescribed fire activity is dependant on weather, crew availability, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (www.azdeq.gov).
Wednesday 5/13
A-1 PROJECT: Approximately 200 acres located on the southwest side of A-1 Mountain, west of Flagstaff. To take advantage of cooler morning weather, crews will begin ignitions around 7am and expect to be complete by mid-morning. Smoke should dissipate quickly, and because this is a maintenance burn – meaning the area has been previously treated with prescribed fire – fuels and smoke should be lighter. Some residual smoke may linger in the Baderville area overnight.
Thursday 5/14
LAKE MARY PROJECT: Approximately 200 acres southwest of Lower Lake Mary and Lake Mary Meadows, pending favorable conditions.
