Coconino National Forest Planned Prescribed Fire Activity for the week of May 11:

Remember that all prescribed fire activity is dependant on weather, crew availability, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (www.azdeq.gov).

Monday, May 11
ROCKY PROJECT:  Approximately 530 acres located 4 miles east of I-17 at the Schnebly Hill exit, off Forest Road 226.  Smoke is expected to move northeast.  Crews plan to begin ignition early, and should be complete by mid-morning.
 
For the remainder of the week, crews plan to continue work on the ROCKY PROJECT and the A-1 PROJECT (located east of A-1 Mountain, west of Flagstaff), pending favorable conditions.
