**Note new time** Agriculture Secretary Vilsack to Join Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus for Farm to Fleet Announcement
WASHINGTON, Dec. 10, 2013 - TOMORROW, Dec. 11, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will join Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus on a media call to announce a new Department of Navy Farm to Fleet initiative. Secretary Vilsack and Secretary Mabus will highlight the benefits of advanced biofuels to create jobs in rural America and to ensure a dependable, domestic fuel supply for our nation's military.
In March 2011, President Obama issued a directive for Department of Energy, USDA, and the Department of the Navy to work together in partnership with private industry to spur development of the advanced biofuels industry, to power the Department of Defense.
