USDA Under Secretary to Announce Availability of Funding and Role the Rural Energy for America Program Can Play in Funding Renewable Energy Projects

 

   WASHINGTON, April 14, 2011- TODAY, Under Secretary for Rural Development Dallas Tonsager will highlight USDA support for renewable energy, announce the availability of funding under USDA’s existing Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) and discuss the role REAP can play in helping to finance renewable energy projects.

WHAT: 

A Federal Register notice on the REAP program is being published in the Federal Register today. REAP funds may be used for renewable energy systems, energy efficiency improvements, energy audits and studies to determine the feasibility of renewable energy systems.
