USDA Under Secretary to Announce Availability of Funding and Role the Rural Energy for America Program Can Play in Funding Renewable Energy Projects
WASHINGTON, April 13, 2011- TOMORROW, Under Secretary for Rural Development Dallas Tonsager will highlight USDA support for renewable energy, announce the availability of funding under USDA’s existing Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) and discuss the role REAP can play in helping to finance renewable energy projects.

A Federal Register notice on the REAP program will be published on April 14, 2011. REAP funds may be used for renewable energy systems, energy efficiency improvements, energy audits and studies to determine the feasibility of renewable energy systems.
