Basically udisks will obey /etc/fstab for those devices which are listed there, as indicated here:" Also note that block devices having corresponding records in /etc/fstab are excluded from the overrides as the mount options are fully taken from such records just like before."
So whether we follow fstab or let udisks handle the device, in the end the results should be the same, unless I miss something.
