Yes, it's a nice little calculator, that just does what it does. I used it 
back then when I first got into KDE3. 

It's odd, too, that other usable calculators just disappeared. I was using 
qalculate, but it seems to have been removed from the repositories only 
recently. 

Also I did a little searching for the newer KDE versions of kcalc, just to see 
if maybe there was some kind of standalone app that I could tinker with, to 
see if they had improved it at all. But alas, to install the KDE version of 
kcalc would install the whole KDE Plasma pile of krap. 

As I was searching, I came across a lot of bug reports for that version (don't 
know if kcalc-trinity has similar bugs). It doesn't calculate hex correctly, 
and several other pages. 

The main reason that I want a calculator for my computer desktop, by the way, 
instead of just using my handheld calculator or the calculator on my phone, 
is that I want to be able to cut and paste figures, rather than having to 
write them down or type them out.
