Google seems to suggest that applnk was a pre KDE 3.2 menu structure.
That's a long time ago and I don't know how kpdf's applnk got into
my ~/.trinity.  There are no other applnk files.

Hi Mike,
applnk is an old thing, as google mention. Most applications use the apps folder, but some still use the applnk. We are actually getting rid of applnk bit by bit but not being top priority, some are still there.
