Oh, I totally forgot to test these. Well, no changes wahtever settings I choose in kpdf.

But there is another strange thing: I found that "dia" and "gimp" have problems with fonts, too. Gimp simply crashes with no meaningfull error ("ScriptFu error." - yeah, sure), when I try to change a text in "dia", all fonts (even the GUI menu) disappear or better become invisible, as the buttons and dialog items keep the correct size. The Errormessiage is in deed meaningful:

(dia:4223): Pango-WARNING **: 08:33:48.276: failed to create cairo scaled font, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'Bitstream Vera Sans 345593.26171875'
(dia:4223): Pango-WARNING **: 08:33:48.276: font_face status is: error occurred in libfreetype
(dia:4223): Pango-WARNING **: 08:33:48.276: scaled_font status is: error occurred in libfreetype

I don't understand why it tries to get a font of 345593.26171875 pt, but I could imagine that kpdf triggers the same error in libfreetype (libfreetype6:amd64 2.12.1+dfsg-3).
