You may recall that we discussed how to change the colors in kpdf? 
settings / configure / accessibility / change colors

What does kpdf do if you change these settings? i.e., you can force whatever 
colors you want, so maybe invisible characters can also be made to show 
themselves? 

Just a thought ...
