So many details were missing.
1. Longer cords mean more power loss
2. Not all USB cord are also power cords (some are data only).
3. Rabbits and Hares, are in the same family but aren't the same.
4. 1.0 UBS cables are not compatible with 3.0.
So, just get a powered up and a usb 3.0 cable but NO longer than 1.5 meters.
After that, there is a sharp decline in power and data speeds and you are very
likely to suffer data loss, disconnections and very possibly damager to the
hard drives do to under powering the motor.
