Yep, but the T14 requires Chimaera :)

Ok, here's the solution: 
- remove avahi and friends, they kill DNS.
- create /etc/cups/clients.conf with this line:

ServerName <ip-of-cups-server>

- restart cups.

And now you can print from libreoffice and all that GTK infested packages, too.
