date-timestamp in Kmail

Incidentally -- this is off-topic, new question, so a new thread -- 

Why are your* timestamps set in the future? My replies to your emails are 
actually dated an hour or so *before* your original emails. The time of your 
email is actually set in the future, at least an hour after my system clock, 
which is set to local time, PDT US. 

Are you a visitor from the future, here to warn us against where our bad 
mailing list behavior will lead us (that is, to certain disaster)? Or is 
there some more reasonable explanation?
