I put a shortcut on my taskbar, with my own custom icon, so that I can just 
click on it, and ksnapshot's dialog comes up. Unlock panel, right-click to 
add application (not applet), then look for ksnapshot under graphics. 

See attached screenshot (made with knapshot). The black circle-in-square is my 
ksnapshot icon. I wanted something big and obvious, so I didn't have to 
search when I got the sudden impulse to capture something.
