I asked this question years ago and was answered we use package builder. You have to download/check out the source and debian/package. Then within the directory execute for example debuild -uc -us -b -j4 No you have a directory called obj-x86_64-linux-gnu where you can execute make. Also note that there are few libraries that need to be build before tqt3.
