I see only one problem with your file permissions. tdesud should be setgrp in the nogroup group, not the root group. tdesu is not designed for command line use. It is a graphical interface which uses /bin/su behind the scenes. Does su (or sudo) work for you from the command line? What happens if you click - T-menu / Trinity Control Center / System Administration / Monitor and Display - and enter your root password? --Mike --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: trinity-users-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For additional commands, e-mail: trinity-users-help@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Read list messages on the web archive: http://trinity-users.pearsoncomputing.net/ Please remember not to top-post: http://trinity.pearsoncomputing.net/mailing_lists/#top-posting
