Here this link leads to a site that, in the end, proposes drivers for... MacOS
(!)

Seems this camera has the ID 04a9.32bf. Does lsusb give anything?

I have an older SX160IS. It gets automounted on /media but I can't find out
how. I must say I do use a card reader usually (for all my cameras): it's
simpler, faster (and I can continue to use the camera with another memory
card).

I don't use the SX a lot however, I perfer the reflex range.
