However, a less technical way, involving a gui, would be just to install the fuseiso9660 package & dependencies. Then copy the CD image to your hard drive. Open Konqueror, right-click on the image, choose "open with" and ISO9660 Image Viewer, which will then open a new window and list the contents of the disc in folders named El Torito Boot ISO9660 Joliet level 3 In these you will find the contents of the CD or DVD, and you can just copy whatever items you want from that folder to your destination.
