G'day Baron, A bit of googling turns up this gem from HP. <quote> Linux Chances are, your Linux computer already has the software it needs, as all major Linux distributions regularly integrate HP Linux Imaging and Printing (HPLIP) into their software releases. To get the latest release of HPLIP, visit the HPLIP website. HP Linux Imaging and Printing (in English) is the primary software download for HP Printing solutions in Linux. Linux Kernel Archives (in English) contains software and drivers for HP computers running Linux. </quote> However, I would not take that as Gospel truth. Probably written by HP marketing. Can you get access to one of these? Just take along your favourite live CD/DVD and try. I see that other people have made useful suggestions, but a test with a live distro will quickly give the answer.
