I did want to run it for other hard drives, as well, for which gparted would be nice to run from command-line. However, I did find a live CD version of gparted on SourceForge. I would have looked there earlier, but for some reason I have connection problems when using the latest versions of Firefox. When I connect to SourceForge with Icecat, SourceForge always blocks me; but with Firefox I can spoof my IP and get in. However, then I have big problems with Firefox, like my system freezes up when I am in the middle of stuff, or just now, when I found these links on SourceForge, I got disconnected almost immediately. Like when your wife or girlfriend comes home drunk at 4 in the morning, "it's complicated"; and I don't know that I want the full explanation. Anyway, so I found an iso image of gparted to download, and I consider this to be the best of all possible solutions. Thanks for your patience.
