The sudo problem is another matter, and I will deal with that separately. (Other people besides myself have mentioned this problem, by the way. My TDE and KDE programs seem to work fine when run as root.) What I want now is to resize my partition. That is my concern at the moment. What I need is something that will run from a live CD, so that I can resize my root partition without destroying information on my home folder or reinstalling my entire system.
